Negative Psychological Manipulation Can Be Worse Than Physical Abuse

Psychological manipulation can be defined as the exercise of undue influence through mental distortion and emotional exploitation, with the intention to seize power, control, benefits and/or privileges at the victim’s expense.
It is important to distinguish healthy social influence from psychological manipulation. Healthy social influence occurs between most people, and is part of the give and take of constructive relationships. In psychological manipulation, one person is used for the benefit of another. The manipulator deliberately creates an imbalance of power, and exploits the victim to serve his or her agenda.
Below is a list of fourteen “tricks” manipulative people often use to coerce others into a position of disadvantage, excerpted from by book (click on link): “How to Successfully Handle Manipulative People”. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list, but rather a compilation of subtle as well as strident examples of coercion. Not everyone who acts in the following manners may be deliberately trying to manipulate you. Some people simply have very poor habits. Regardless, it’s important to recognize these behaviors in situations where your rights, interests and safety are at stake.
1.  Home Court Advantage
A manipulative individual may insist on you meeting and interacting in a physical space where he or she can exercise more dominance and control. This can be the manipulator’s office, home, car, or other spaces where he feels ownership and familiarity (and where you lack them).
2.  Let You Speak First to Establish Your Baseline and Look for Weaknesses
Many sales people do this when they prospect you. By asking you general and probing questions, they establish a baseline about your thinking and behavior, from which they can then evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. This type of questioning with hidden agenda can also occur at the workplace or in personal relationships.
3.  Manipulation of Facts
Examples: Lying. Excuse making. Two faced. Blaming the victim for causing their own victimization. Deformation of the truth. Strategic disclosure or withholding of key information. Exaggeration. Understatement. One-sided bias of issue.
4.  Overwhelm You with Facts and Statistics
Some individuals enjoy “intellectual bullying” by presuming to be the expert and most knowledgeable in certain areas. They take advantage of you by imposing alleged facts, statistics, and other data you may know little about. This can happen in sales and financial situations, in professional discussions and negotiations, as well as in social and relational arguments. By presuming expert power over you, the manipulator hopes to push through her or his agenda more convincingly. Some people use this technique for no other reason than to feel a sense of intellectual superiority.
5.  Overwhelm You with Procedures and Red Tape
Certain people use bureaucracy – paperwork, procedures, laws and by-laws, committees, and other roadblocks to maintain their position and power, while making your life more difficult. This technique can also be used to delay fact finding and truth seeking, hide flaws and weaknesses, and evade scrutiny.
6.  Raising Their Voice and Displaying Negative Emotions
Some individuals raise their voice during discussions as a form of aggressive manipulation. The assumption may be that if they project their voice loudly enough, or display negative emotions, you’ll submit to their coercion and give them what they want.  The aggressive voice is frequently combined with strong body language such as standing or excited gestures to increase impact.
7.  Negative Surprises
Some people use negative surprises to put you off balance and gain a psychological advantage. This can range from low balling in a negotiation situation, to a sudden profession that she or he will not be able to come through and deliver in some way. Typically, the unexpected negative information comes without warning, so you have little time to prepare and counter their move. The manipulator may ask for additional concessions from you in order to continue working with you.
8.  Giving You Little or No Time to Decide
This is a common sales and negotiation tactic, where the manipulator puts pressure on you to make a decision before you’re ready. By applying tension and control onto you, it is hoped that you will “crack” and give in to the aggressor’s demands.
9.  Negative Humor Designed to Poke at Your Weaknesses and Disempower You
Some manipulators like to make critical remarks, often disguised as humor or sarcasm, to make you seem inferior and less secure. Examples can include any variety of comments ranging from your appearance, to your older model smart phone, to your background and credentials, to the fact that you walked in two minutes late and out of breath. By making you look bad, and getting you to feel bad, the aggressor hopes to impose psychological superiority over you.
10.  Consistently Judge and Criticize You to Make You Feel Inadequate
Distinct from the previous behavior where negative humor is used as a cover, here the manipulator outright picks on you. By constantly marginalizing, ridiculing, and dismissing you, she or he keeps you off-balance and maintains her superiority. The aggressor deliberately fosters the impression that there’s always something wrong with you, and that no matter how hard you try, you are inadequate and will never be good enough. Significantly, the manipulator focuses on the negative without providing genuine and constructive solutions, or offering meaningful ways to help.
11.  The Silent Treatment
By deliberately not responding to your reasonable calls, text messages, emails, or other inquiries, the manipulator presumes power by making you wait, and intends to place doubt and uncertainty in your mind. The silent treatment is a head game where silence is used as a form of leverage.
12.  Pretend Ignorance
This is the classic “playing dumb” tactic. By pretending she or he doesn’t understand what you want, or what you want her to do, the manipulator/passive-aggressive makes you take on what is her responsibility, and gets you to break a sweat. Some children use this tactic in order to delay, stall, and manipulate adults into doing for them what they don’t want to do. Some grown-ups use this tactic as well when they have something to hide, or obligation they wish to avoid.
13.  Guilt-Baiting
Examples: Unreasonable blaming. Targeting recipient’s soft spot. Holding another responsible for the manipulator’s happiness and success, or unhappiness and failures.
By targeting the recipient’s emotional weaknesses and vulnerability, the manipulator coerces the recipient into ceding unreasonable requests and demands.
14.  Victimhood
Examples: Exaggerated or imagined personal issues. Exaggerated or imagined healthissues. Dependency. Co-dependency. Deliberate frailty to elicit sympathy and favor.  Playing weak, powerless, or martyr.
The purpose of manipulative victimhood is often to exploit the recipient’s good will, guiltyconscience, sense of duty and obligation, or protective and nurturing instinct, in order to extract unreasonable benefits and concessions.

Most Recent Research Experiment Regarding Fake Protesters And Social Science

NEW YORK – Nov. 18, 2016 –  Our latest research experiment shows that people are going to protests in exchange for a fee which indicates that many of the protesters do not have a genuine interest or reason for all the negative energy they expend during the activity.
This research was initiated taking cues from the methods and tactics of great social influencers such as Edward Bernays who were able to change opinions on a mass scale through the use of propaganda and media influence. Edward Bernays, an Australian-American pioneer, popularly known as “the father of public relations,” is a pioneer in the field of public relations. He combined the ideas of Gustave Le Bon and Wilfred Trotter on crowd psychology with the psychoanalytical ideas of his uncle, Sigmund Freud. His ideas and that of his likes who were able to make a significant impact in history using the media and journalists as powerful tools are today influencing our views on protests.
With so much energy being expelled in the anti-Trump protest, an experiment was formulated using social science to see if all the anger and other negative energies exerted can (financially) benefit the person who they are protesting against. To conduct the experiment, the website http://www.ProtesterOnDemand.com was designed and advertised on Craigslist for people who are interested in working as protesters to send in pictures of them protesting with their signs. The website was also posted on subreddits which attract anti-Trump individuals with money.
The result from this simple, yet important experiment was overwhelming. Within a short time of posting the ads, both people who want to work as protesters and many who want to hire protesters started placing orders. While individuals who were interested in becoming protesters started sending in their details, those who wanted to hire protesters were already forking over their credit card numbers with specific details as to locations, number of hours and even demographics.
The fact that people go to protests in exchange for a fee and that others hire protesters is an indicator that a lot of protesters (many of whom mentioned that they have already done such work in the past) may not have a genuine interest and reason for all the energy they expend at all. And this goes a long way to show that not everything is as it seems.

"Trust is the glue of life. It's the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It's the foundational principle that holds all relationships" - Stephen Covey

Why Dumbshits Are So Sure And Intelligent People Always Question

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which low-ability individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their ability as much higher than it really is. Dunning and Kruger attributed this bias to a metacognitive inability of those of low ability to recognize their ineptitude and evaluate their ability accurately. Their research also suggests corollaries: high-ability individuals may underestimate their relative competence and may erroneously assume that tasks which are easy for them are also easy for others.[1]

Welcome to the neighborhood

Two of NASA’s space telescopes, including the Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR), miraculously observed a black hole’s corona “launched” away from the supermassive black hole. Then a massive pulse of X-ray energy spewed out. So, what exactly happened? That’s what scientists are trying to figure out now.

The United Scheming Republic

If you still don't believe that the US is one of the more corrupt countries in the world, you need to pull your head from out of your ass, quick. I mean, WHAT THE FUCK??? Any person who ever challenged me about anything....I repeat - anythingggg - that is written in the archives of this page, previously dismissed as conspiracy theory, needs to get down and kiss my ass... Because it's all out in the open now. Always was a realist.

I'll write here, days before the election, every sheep on the side of Trump as far as my eyes can see, if Hillary wins this election (which at this point seems unimaginable),  it will be clear as day in the Arizona sky, that it's allll rigged.

I often say to people that the world is gonna burn either way but I actually look forward to Trump winning because the degenerate, racist, misogynistic and stereotypical American types that follow him will continue to show their true selves... This allows for excellent observation, classification and compartmentalization of dumbshits.  What'll you say to all the pervs whose retort (while grabbing women by the crotch) will be "Whaa our president does it"  Watch your vaginas ladies.

Its The Funniest Thing

Just loungin with a stogie in my hand on the balcony of my parents place in FL and I dwell on the goings on these days. Lots I can yap about with Hillary and Donald throat to throat. I cant say for sure what is going on in other parts of the world but I dont hear much of  bombings nowadays, which is nice. Just love to watch as idiots make their racism and hate clear because now they think they could, ya know, since the countries leaders do. I don't and won't vote, but If there was any reason I would this go around, it would be bc the Clinton camp does less race baiting. But thats a trap just like whatever convinced you to back whomever you are, if your'e backing anybody, that is. Devious moves are being played in the game of political chess right now.

It's absurd to think though, that any one of these clowns was really going to be given any true power anyway. Walk outside and look around, do you think control over everything is going to be handed over to one of these two morons?

Journey To Serenity

These days I'm very self aware. I have to be careful because the last time I felt similar to how I do now, I became manic and ended up in an undesirable and dangerous place with exatly those types. If I see a pretty face nowadays, I'll walk over from a distance, sometimes even from across the street, with no shame I ask you nonchalantly "I dont believe we've met just yet, I'm Gil" I continue "listen, maybe you can help me with a problem I have with my phone...im missing the phone number of a beautiful girl named...wait whats your name"

Straight to the point, shrewd, often rude. I call chic friends of mine like Vera my dudes.

Ok, enough with the rhyming. Bottom line is that changes are occurring...confidence is beaming. Happiness is gleaming. I found a job I love with one of my best friends as a boss. We work hard and are cut throat but we have a ball @ the same time.

Let's see where this ride takes me, it's been bumpy lately but I am closer than ever to serenity.

It's about time I think, one of us steps up, takes initiative, and propels us to those comfortable spaces, altitudes and positions which we deserve...being true-to-the-T hustler sharks that we are, couple friends and I.

When it comes to business hours or work time, we are viscous with it.. Cold, calculating and always producing way more than the fella next to us, or, at times, anyone else in entire buildings for that matter (its true).

Yeah so, Hillel Nackab makes an appearance here once again. Being that he has children, is married, and has sight a lot less short than mine, he started quite an interesting business. This allows for many beneficial things.

1- The ability to learn about many different businesses, and the job involves closing any and many demographic around the country.
2- The ability or the tools, if you will, which to allow us to put our hustler ambition and mentality to use.
3- The ability to put this ambition to use in a Very lucrative field (finance) reminiscent of how Meir Lansky took Italiano gangsters from the street and put suits on them back in the day, creating Lucky Luciano and other original wise guys.
4- Ability to abuse people who know not WTF they're doing in the office and watch Hillel fire them in the most cold way [HA!]
5- Ability to influence like Jim Willis
6- Ability to influence more B"H

My Dating "Self Summary"

I'm a superhero villain but scary movies terrify me and my Kryptonite is being tickled.
I'll stumble upon a song and listen to it 50 times (preferably with no interruption) making sure I comprehend every bar.
I like to be funky and odd (but not as in the smelly or disheveled type).
Often, I'll pass on good opportunities or luxuries so that my dog lives a better life.
My thinking is calculating and intricate but I'm very goofy and stupid, run around happy-go-lucky with my tongue out, like a dimwit.
I'm not someone you want to know if your happy with your status quo. The rhyme is happenstance.
It's true. like a misbehaving child, when it comes to norms, I am very disruptive.
I'm known to cover myself (head to toe) in Vaseline, so as to get out of sticky situations.
So like in the matrix, you can choose to click the red X now and go on like you never read this, or click the blue send message and awaken to a whole new perspective.

How Propaganda is Used on us

The Institute for Propaganda Analysis

The Institute for Propaganda Analysis existed from 1937 to 1941; it closed down because, with war approaching, they couldn't maintain a dispassionate analysis of all propaganda. Their prem ise was a concern about increasing amounts of propaganda being used on the public. Their goal was to educate the public about propaganda and help them recognize and deal with it. Their concern was that increasing amounts of propaganda would weaken the peoples' ability to analyze and think rationally about issues. Their propaganda devices, listed below, were useful in 1939 but would be considered simplistic now.
One of their efforts involved identifying "seven common propaganda devices" that were commonly used in propaganda materials. These devices appear to be well known even now; they appear in an exhibit at the National Museum of Nuclear Science and Technology in Albuquerque, NM. We'll present them as the IPA did, then expand a bit.

The Seven Devices

  • Bandwagon: "Has as its theme 'everybody - at least all of us - is doing it!' and thereby tries to convince the members of a group that their peers are accepting the program and that we should all jump on the bandwagon rather than be left out." "Everybody is doing this." You've heard that before. The idea here is to convey the notion that if you don't get aboard you will be left out. This can also appear as news organizations jump on a "story" so as not to be left out.
  • Card Stacking: "Involves the selection and use of facts or falsehoods, illustrations or distractions, and logical or illogical statements to give the best or the worst possible case for an idea, program, person, or product."
    • Facts or falsehoods: In propaganda, the use of truth or lie is governed only by its credibility. If you are not familiar with the subject, you might not be able to detect a lie.
    • Illustrations or distractions:
    • Logical or illogical statements: The various reasoning fallacies fall in here.
You might also include Cherry-Picking. The propagandist uses only those facts and details that support their argument. The selected reasons are used to support the conclusion. You will get misled if you do not notice that important details are missing. The worst part of card-stacking is that it can be very difficult to detect if you are not really knowledgeable about the subject.
  • Glittering Generalities: "Associating something with a 'virtue word' and creating acceptance and approval without examination of the evidence." These are vague, broad statements that will connect with the audience's beliefs and values. They really don't say anything substantive. Slogans make great examples. The vagueness means that the implications, though varying for different people, are always favorable. Think of peace, freedom, justice, family values, etc.
You can check if something is a glittering generality by asking questions of the speech/slogan such as "How?" or "With what?" or "By what means?" If those questions are unanswered, then you may be dealing with a glittering generality. If they do answer the questions, see if their answers are substantive (details supported by evidence) or whether their answers are even more glittering generalities.
    • Recent Examples:
Gov. Mitt Romney, during his 2012 Republican National Convention Speech in Tampa, FL: "I am running for president to help create a better future, a future where everyone who wants a job can find a job, where no senior fears for the security of their retirement, an America where every parent knows that their child will get an education that leads to a good job and a bright horizon, and unlike the president, I have a plan to create 12 million new jobs.
Paul Ryan and I have five steps. First, by 2020, North America will be an energy independent by taking invented [sic] of our oil, are coal, our gas, our nuclear, and renewables.
Second, we will give our fellow citizens the skills they need for the jobs of today and the careers of tomorrow. When it comes to the school your child will attend, every parent should have a choice, and every child should have a chance.
Third, we will make trade work for America by forging new trade agreements, and when nations cheat in trade, there will be unmistakable consequences.
And fourth, to assure every entrepreneur and every job creator that their investments in America will not vanish, as have those in Greece. We will cut the deficit and put America on track to a balanced budget.
And fifth, we will champion small businesses, America's engine of job growth. That means reducing taxes on business, not raising them. It means simplifying and modernizing the regulations that hurt small businesses the most, and it means we must rein in skyrocketing cost of health care by repealing and replacing Obamacare."
      Link to the speech
President Barack Obama, during his 2012 Democratic National Convention Speech in Charlotte, NC: "But know this, America: Our problems can be solved. Our challenges can be met. The path we offer may be harder, but it leads to a better place. And I'm asking you to choose that future. I'm asking you to rally around a set of goals for your country – goals in manufacturing, energy, education, national security, and the deficit; a real, achievable plan that will lead to new jobs, more opportunity, and rebuild this economy on a stronger foundation. That's what we can do in the next four years, and that's why I'm running for a second term as President of the United States.
      ...
We're offering a better path – a future where we keep investing in wind and solar and clean coal; where farmers and scientists harness new biofuels to power our cars and trucks; where construction workers build homes and factories that waste less energy; where we develop a hundred year supply of natural gas that's right beneath our feet. If you choose this path, we can cut our oil imports in half by 2020 and support more than 600,000 new jobs in natural gas alone.
      ...
You can choose a future where more Americans have the chance to gain the skills they need to compete, no matter how old they are or how much money they have. Education was the gateway to opportunity for me. It was the gateway for Michelle. And now more than ever, it is the gateway to a middle-class life.
      ...
I want to reform the tax code so that it's simple, fair, and asks the wealthiest households to pay higher taxes on incomes over $250,000 – the same rate we had when Bill Clinton was president; the same rate we had when our economy created nearly 23 million new jobs, the biggest surplus in history, and a lot of millionaires to boot. "
      Link to the speech
  • Name-Calling: "Giving an idea a bad label and therefore rejecting and condemning it without examining the evidence." This is the use of negative words or labels to create prejudice against some person, group or idea. If you fall for this you have been driven to reach a conclusion without examining the evidence.
    • Recent Examples:
President Barack Obama: "He’d ask the middle class to pay more in taxes so that he could give another $250,000 tax cut to people making more than $3 million a year. It’s like Robin Hood in reverse — it’s Romney-hood . . . " Video segment of speech
Gov. Mitt Romney: "If I were to coin a term, it’d be Obamaloney" Link to excerpt of interview
  • Plain Folks: "The method by which a speaker attempts to convince the audience that he or she and his or her ideas are good because they are 'of the people,' the 'plain folks.'" The person speaking will adopt a demeanor that makes them look like "everyman." They will appear to connect with the audience and their point of view. Careful choice of clothing, vocabulary, and mannerisms is necessary to make the identity connection. Hitler was quite good at this.
  • Testimonial: "Consists in having some respected or hated person say that a given idea or program or product is good or bad." This technique has a well-known someone endorse, recommend or approve of a product, cause or program. Pop celebrities can work well here. Remember that testimonials aren't worth much, particularly if the endorser is not an authority in the field.
  • Transfer: "Carries the respect and authority of something respected to something else to make the latter accepted. Also works with something that is disrespected to make the latter rejected." This is an effort to transfer your approval of something you respect and approve of to another something that the propagandist wants you to approve of. Using a flag as a background for photographs helps.

Soakin The Sponge

What can I say, been feeding the old sponge with much knowledge lately. I stopped by one of the dudes in Washington Square Park not long ago and offered one of them 3 dollars to teach me how to play chess. I've been getting my ass kicked on this website where you can play with others online. I'm practicing tho and I'm sure I wont be playing like a newb for too long.

Been working once a week @ the horse stables off the belt pkwy. Now I know how to take care of a horses daily needs. How to care for and medicate them when theyre sick and how to "tack" them, meaning putting on the saddle, girth, and the bridle into their mouths. Also how to break in a horse that thats not used to being ridden. When I first started, and they asked me if I ride, I said of course, Im a professional. Little do they know, I only rode a few times before that. They say fake it till u make it and I did. I paid close attention to the instructors giving lessons and began riding like a pro. Galloping @ full speed in an open field or on the beach alone with a horse is majestic.

I used to not like learning. Always hated school because I felt something wasn't right...now I know what that is. General studies in grade school is full of misconstrued facts and lies about things that went down in history. Think about it for a second, if hitler won the 2nd world war, the textbooks would be filled with how great he and Germany is. It would demonize the US, Britain and all the allies. But, we won and so history is ours to write. This applies to oligarchs as well. Billy The Kid used to steal from bankers but just think about how corrupt bankers were back then with no  Securities Exchange Commission or other regulatory authorities. These people were probably more corrupt than everyone in Trumps potential* administration can be. But, ya know what? Theyre the ones who were able to depict Billy as a menace murderer. For all we know, he could've been a righteous dude....Im confident he was.

I was talking to my cousin one day not long ago and we were discussing what it is I would love to wake up and do everyday. Obviously my retort was to work with and help animals. 10 minutes later he calls me with an administrator at a veterinary medicine school on the line. I was enrolled and paid in full within 20 minutes. I'll never forget the story "How Could you" and since I read it I've done my best to help as many animals as possible. After-all I love them and only like people... this applies to even the best of them.

Finally, I've been dabbling with music editing programs quite a bit lately. Need to slow down tho cause its cutting into my study time. Even recorded some tracks. Not sure how exactly to penetrate the music industry but its a good time fucking around with it.

Probably learned more in the past 6 months that I had the past 6 years.

I'll Rhyme Sometimes - Gee Roze [tha Intro lp]

My party is wild, balls out and obnoxious... Caligula style. Pay attention and sit back for a while.

Don't dare look in my eye, Im sly, while im grabbing your girl by the thigh from behind. No respect. Pay attention as I spit, listen close and get wet.

What can I say, its just another day, given ma horses some hay. Tryna find shade...Tryna cook up a way to get paid. I'll never forget the 13th of May, the year 2000...we'll see what you're subconscious allows in.

9-5 and all you can buy is a hamburger and fries.

But when asked you tell....while youre living in your own little hell, this is just the way it is, the way its been and the way it'll stay, is all you seem to say....while you exit your daze, eyes all glazed....it's been 17 years making minimum wage. It's not temporary, take stock and the problems you'll count are many.

The rat race takes place in a laboratory cage, "its all a stage" said some sage and a lunatic it's critic, my chaos is parasitic, in these Brooklyn streets, nothings ever copacetic... all my hats are fitted....Altho I wear my brim low, so nobody could know.... who's behind, if you see you'd go blind.

Mine is a tormented mind.

Consider this my preamble for a new chapter of rap. Don't tell me that you don't see all of todays rappers are softserve and whack. All that crap they go on about means jack, you're just talking smack. Catch a slap attack in the back of my Ack by this raw and hard to the core axe maniac.

I'm a serial killin evil villain and the chill I bring gets felt...Got 43 bodies under my belt. They know I'm sick, dangerous and armed, why I never fired a shot and just bash my victims is an unknown phenomenon.

Making moves but I have much to improve. Deceitful, when we battle I'll intentionally lose, or at least pretend to, wait for you to gloat, come up from behind and slit your fucking throat. Revel in the joy, like learning your first born's a baby boy.

Ask those who know me;
I'm not fair, I never care, look away cause I wont break my stare. Like a girl I'll drag you by the hair.

And then kinda like Brexit, I dont look back as I exit. Or like Kaizer Sozay, when I walk away, away is where I stay.

Obzervin

Its quite interesting to observe the classic goings on around election time. But this go around, 2016, is gonna prove especially cut throat and merciless. Take note of the chatter you'll hear from all of these people around you about this that or the next new development, occupying their minds with backward ass, manufactured crap. The media, with all of it's shiny faces and professional suits, all glitzy and pretty, is the most evil entity there is. It is the media that fooled us into thinking Saddam had WMDs, which led to the death of over a million (mostly innocent) people. It is the media who already decided who will be president and what we know of either party candidate. The same companies that control everything we're allowed to know happen to be owned by the biggest bankers in the world. Things just dont work properly, one excellent example is pharmaceuticals being completely for-profit entities.
