To My Friends
Such fun so many here are having. Not worrying about their careers or making more and more money but just getting by with the little we have. Its a waste of time what we have been doing for so many years. The best knowledge and experience, the best times are had by travellers. By explorers. Interesting folk from around our world. The many misconceptions we have been fed to believe about the world are untrue. Everyone is just like us.

The Secret Spot Rotorua New Zealand
There is an amazing spot on the outskirts of town. Its known to the few that know it as the secret spot. Its a 25 minute drive out into the bush outside of town. Chess put me on to it and I've been there 7 times since. Its where a natural volcanic stream meets with another cold one. Its an enchanting spot. Yesterday Paul, Ben myself and a blond haired surfing californian girl named Kelly were lounging in the jacuzzi in this hostel. Something went wrong with it and it wasnt warming up. The manager said their getting a plumber in and were just gonna have to deal w/out it. I mentioned this spot and off we went to it. Never have I been there at night. It was absolutely majestic. We lit a candle and soaked for close to an hour in this really hot stream. Ben and I stepped out of the 105 degree water naturally in order to keep comfortable as it was too damn hot to sit in for more than 2 minutes without over heating. I mentioned to kelly that it must be the fact she is from cali that she is able to cope with such heat without having to get out a bit. Then Paul steps out and mentions he didnt feel very well. Clonk! Right after saying this he passed out and hit his head on the side of the bank near the stream. As I got up to help him Kelly said she too was gonna pass out and Ben I looked at eachother hoping we all werent going to pass out. After breathing a little she felt better but Paul was just laying there limp. I splashed some water on him from my camelbak and he arose. The extreme heat is deceiving. Anytime your in a hot bath or something of the sort your body absorbs the heat and changes the temp of the water. This doesnt happen while sitting in a volcanic bath. It is a constant stream of near boiling water that rushes by you. The whole incident was under control 5 minutes after Paul passed out but it was a bit scary. The time we had there was an amazing one and everything considered we all agreed it was a night we will probably never forget.

Cactus Jacks Hostel Rotorua New Zealand
A couple of guys I met while here in a backpackers in Rotorua remind me of myself and my friends back home. They are entrepenuerial and business minded and at the same time love to have a good time. They are the same type as us only british versions. A couple of good old blokes named Paul and Ben from BecksHill Southern England.

Dawn In Napier
Some Shots Of The Area Surrounding Napier
The stress associated with my business vexes me so. I truly dont care for it. I dont care to continue it but I must. Its proving very difficult from here and I fear I might have to go home sooner than I anticipated. I dont really think I want to continue running it and am sure it isnt what I will do forever. Perhaps I should look at this as a competent person would a relationship. I have discovered now that I am unhappy and so before I dig a deeper hole I should cut it out. I love doing the things that I have done today. Trailing thru rugged mountain tops, exploring unfamiliar land. I need to find a way to get paid to do exactly this. Nirvana is what the buddhists call the ultimate state of bliss. For the past few days my dwindling acct has caused me to wake unhappy. This is stupid but I understand it. I must be worrying in my dreams because I dont while awake. I dont care if I have to pick fruit like many of my mates do to keep travelling. Nirvana for me would be to get paid, even if its a meager amount, just enough to eat and rest my head on a warm bed at night. This is all I need. To attain sponsorship to continue doing exactly what I'm doing. It is who I am. For anyone with any ideas or suggestions, please leave a comment below. It would be much appreciated.
Hawkes Bay Museum
Below you will find pics from the Hawkes Bay Museum. Hawkes Bay is a long sweeping coastline on the eastern part of the north island. Napier is situated on this caostline. The town was hit by a massive quake in 1931 and was completely devastated. It was rebuilt in the art deco style that was popular @ the time. You'll find a vid of a woman telling of her experience during and after the quake. A pic of the carnage the quake did to the town, a pic of what the true Maori tribal people used to look like, some of strange European fashion including clubber fashion in the UK and a couple of other things.

This mng A brit and I were chatting it up and so she and I shall go and explore the surrounding areas today. I will update the pics or/and vids I take later.

Good Old Times In Toaranga New Zealand
So, subtract the mathematics the sociology the biology and every other ology including everything else they might have tried to teach you in college while you were getting stoned, carry over the dorming and you get a feel for what hostel life is like. Everybody just out to have fun. Yesterday night we were all blitzed in honor of the queen. 1 guy from Ireland 1 from scotland 1 from chech and 5 from germany. The germans I spent the day with and went with them to Mt Managanui. One you can see playing a song below. They are cool folk. Later on that night we all got pissed and the guitar came out. So very reminiscent of college dorming. Such a damn good time hostel living is that you find some older people in their 50s staying here sometimes to chill with us young folk. We went over to the hotspot in town. A street called The Strand. There we hung @ a bar for a little b4 we came back to our hostel. Upon returning the German girls wanted to play some poker and so I suggested some strip poker. They agreed and much fun was had. I'd like to note that had I been here with friends this experience would be nothing like it is. Everyone I have met so far including these 5 germans have come to Zealand alone. Alot meet in the hostels and then decide to travel together. No judgements just good times. People from around the globe together singing dancing and drinking. In peace and with the understanding that we all are here doing the same thing, having a fucking ball.

Alcohol
I feel incredibly confident today. I am normally very confiedent but this is an extra boost. A false momentary exageration of confidence. Thats what alcohol provides and its a familiar feeling the one I feel right now. I remember many atimes drinking in parties only to loosen up and become more social. To make it easier to confront the cute girl in the party. Alcohol is the posion of choice for people here 2nd is pot. I dont much like alcohol because the false feeling of confidence (which I must say @ that moment is great) and because the debilitating effects it has on people. Sake I like and I picked some up today. I feel the head it provides is a calm and mellow one. Most people here drink that straight stuff like Wild Turkey or Vodka but if you actaully look into whats in that crap you easily understand why you feel like shit the next day. I think its noteworthy to say that of all the poisons there are its only alcohol that provides this strange feel of confidence unlike anything else. Its been a while since I drank during the day but today is sat and the end of fri and the work week bak home so all the more reason. Everything considered, in my opinion, alcohol is probably the worst of all poisons.

Living In New Zealand
I write in a journal to record things when Im not around a computer. Like when Im camping out or roughing it. This is an entry from my journal from 4 days ago. While I was staying @ chesters Camper Van:
I write this post using the light from a compact german military cooker. I'd like to note that Im having the time of my life. My friends and I oftend reminisce about good old times when we were 15 or so. A couple of times I remember saying "yea those were the days well never have such good times ever again". I was dead wrong. America and its citizens are machines that follow programs or orders and most dont get an outside perspective. I am meeting many people. Germany Austria Ireland Scotland The UK The Netherlands are just a few of the countries where friends I've made are from. A backpacker I am not but I am backpacking now. Im also skateboarding but IM not a skateboarder. I'm an explorer being practical. I have knowledge to share as do others and im spnging it all up. This camper im now living in is the most comfy digs I have attained so far. Its got a great bed an oven and even a fridge. Today I spent by the Blue Lake in Rotorua. Its as pristine as it gets. There I used the humungous leaves from trees to build a comfy little shelter to build a fire and cozy up next to. My Remington hunters knife and the widerness survial book I have read b4 coming here are proving very handy. The army store I was @ was amazing. They sell things that armies all around the world use. I even picked up something from the Isreali military. Little German elite forces compact cooker with little stones you put under it that burn for hours to cook with. Its 4 inces by 3 inches and folds up into itself to fit into the ipod pocket of my Camelbak. Kiwi climber rescue jacket, A aluminum foil blanket that is warmer than down and many other little gadgets from around the world that fit easily into my backpack. My flame is now dying out and so cheers for now.

Dream Dream Dream
Half of our lives we spend dreaming. Whether we remember it the next day or not is irrelevant. I had a crappy day a few days ago. The night prior I dreamt about my ex cheating on me as I do every now and then. I wake so happy that part of my life is over. Last night I dreamt I had my head resting in the lap of a girl that loves me. We were talking about us and our future. I think my subconscious is telling me its time to find a good girl. I have to admit although im strong minded and can do without it, I miss having a second half to care for and to have care for me. For those of you that take it for granted, dont. I dont believe in the word alone and dont believe in loneliness. I would however love to share my silly jokes rambling rants and knowledge with someone. This dream last night was more dreamy than the dreams I have regularly. It was blissful.
